Princesses

Madelyn and Carlyn are all about princesses these days. The sun rises and sets with all of the lovely Disney ladies in their little world. Today, a beautiful young lady walked the aisle with a real live prince to become a real live princess. I was watching the news coverage this morning, and Madelyn came into the room at  a little after 6am. I told her that she might like to sit and watch a bit so she could see the Prince and Princess. She and Carlyn sat quietly for a short while, and then Carlyn proceeded to get two of their princess outfits from their dress-up trunk and put them on over their pajamas---they curled up in a chair and watched in their lovely purple frilly frock/footy pajama ensemble. Madelyn was completely enamored by the little flower girls and thought they were beautiful and wondered if they were little princesses, too.

But even Princess Kate in her Sarah Burton champagne dress with Carrickmacross lace, Cartier tiara and diamond acorn earrings could not compare in beauty to my little ones in their Wal-Mart princess gowns, Carters pajamas and tousled morning hair.
