It's kind of a running joke in our house that he is my Scott-Scott (like the GPS Tom-Tom except personalized just for me). Most of the time, he begins my instructions with: Pull out of the driveway, go right at the Yeargin's, and then go straight to the stop sign at the front of the neighborhood. I'm not QUITE that bad, but it does make me smile every time I read his written directions. He did shake it up a bit this morning and gave me a new intro line.
Here's the email he sent:
The following is provided by Scott Scott the world’s leading provider of quality driving directions. Although this service is provided free of charge, donations are welcomed.
1) Go past Ortec Easley towards Pickens on Hwy 8
2) When you come to the red light in Pickens at the McDonalds, turn left.
3) Go approximately 10-15 miles until you come to a 4 way red light at the intersection with Hwy 133. There will be a Texaco convenience store/bait store on the opposite right side corner. (you also pass BRs place not far from where you have to turn)
4) Turn right at this red light and go another 10-12 miles until the road dead ends into Hwy 11.
5) At Hwy 11, turn left.
6) You will go approximately 3-5 miles and you will see a BP station/convenience store/bait shop on the right. You will need to turn right on the road right next to it. It should also be marked with signs that say Devil’s Fork State park
7) Once you turn right, you will go approximately 2-3 miles and will come to a stop sign. At the stop sign, turn right. You will then go another 3-5 miles and dead end into Devil’s Fork.
Call me if you have any trouble, but remember that cell phone service is patchy in that area. If you can, call me and let me know that you made it there safely.
Love,
Scott
Gotta love a man that can still make you smile after 23 years together. <3
